Reality Versus Outer Appearance, So What Is the Difference?

This blog was triggered by a question I got this week from somebody that read my teaching on Asking and getting signs from the Universe. In that teaching I share from my experience with my Twin Flame before I left for India where we met and he refused to talk to me for three months until I was there. In those months I kept getting signs that were a far cry from the reality I was experiencing at that moment. I decided to trust the signs I was getting and interestingly enough they brought me in the reality they had been showing me, in the loving and utterly willing arms of my twin.

What was reality then? That he was ignoring me and rejecting me before or that when I was there he was always close to me and constantly seeking my company, including sneaking into my room at night? In a way both seemed to be realities, I experienced both situations and at the same time they are mutually exclusive – they can’t both be really how he feels about me.

Just before my twin went MIA for three months he had actually pulled me really close to him, saying he had never discussed his problems with anyone till now. Explaining his conflict and focus, why he was always running away from me and he ended the evening with a two hour sexting session in which he described how he wanted to make love to me. In total we were together like five hours that day. We talked a couple more times after that day and then he dropped off radar.

From that backdrop his three months of refusing to talk were a reality but at the same time only an outer appearance, because as soon as I was with him in India he was the same man as he was that day that we spent 5 hours together (or how he always is when we spend time together) very sweet and with deep feelings for me.

What are outer appearances?

In every manifestation process you have to deal with outer appearances before you manifest the reality you want to create. You have to learn to look through these outer appearances and not mistake them for reality, because as soon as you do, it’s GAME OVER on your manifestation. You will not be able to create the NEW reality, because you have just LOCKED IN what appears to be your reality now.

So let me give you another example of outer appearances, this time from my business.

Before I started Gangsta Goddesses I had a moderate successful branding agency, which I actually still own. I was doing around €10K give or take a month, which is not bad but it’s also not extremely awesome and it was not a consistent €10K, it fluctuated somewhat. After I came back from India, the shit really hit the fan. Spirit was moving me into Gangsta Goddesses but was using a lack of money to get me there. By February my branding company was in deep trouble. In March I hit an all time low turnover of €814 and I had to start firing people, because my team costs alone back then were €2.500 each month! When you have high turnovers, you also have higher costs and I ran out of money pretty fast – getting into debt deeper then I felt comfortable with.

If I at that moment would have accepted outer appearance to be my reality, I would have never set up Gangsta Goddesses. I would have filed for bankruptcy like most business owners who got into shit as deep as I did and life would have turned out a different way.

So instead I reminded myself that what I was seeing was not reality, it was only outer appearance of what seemed to be real while I was shifting from one reality to the next. I kept saying to myself back then:

‘It cannot be that now that I am living my soul purpose and sharing my unique gift to the world, that the Universe is not going to support me. This is what I am supposed to be doing and the Universe always has my back!‘

I launched Gangsta Goddesses mid April 2016, now only 6 months later I am back at €8K turnover this month and the month is only halfway. Plus I have solved 70% of the debt situation I was in.

Seeing the reality you want to manifest

I moved through the outer appearance of lack and created the REALITY that is mine by divine right, a successful (six figures in the making) soul aligned business. I would have never gotten to this point if I had accepted lack and debt to be my reality. To me my reality was that Spirit was guiding me to setup the business that is mine by divine right, in which I had a unique gift to the world that was SO FAR out of my comfort zone, that the only way to get me there was to leave me NO OTHER CHOICE.

As it turned out I had a past life as a Lemurian priestess in which I had immense healing powers that were somehow not allowed anymore. In order to protect my people and myself I had locked away this gift and left that life heavily disappointed. I saw what I was able to do then as something I literally never wanted to go back to. That lifetime brought up some massive resistance in me, re-owning the healing powers from that life and using them in this life.

I focused on staying open and moving through my own resistance to my unique gift to the world and that got me where I am today.

Feeling uncomfortable with your unique gift to the world is not unique by the way, author Helen Schucman of A course in Miracles also didn’t feel completely comfortable with her gift – which has helped millions of people worldwide. So if you need some time to adjust to your unique gift, that’s okay – it happens to others too. Just don’t let your resistance stop you, the world is waiting for you.

And actually this is also pretty much how it went when I went to meet my twin in India. The reality I chose to believe in back then, was that my twin did love me as he had told me before and wanted me close to him. The reason for him to keep running away and avoid contact with me, was not because he wasn’t crazy about me – but because he felt bound by cultural rules and family beliefs that told him he would be selfish if he chose for his own feelings of love above what his family wants for him – an arranged marriage. That’s also exactly what he showed me in India, much to the surprise of his friends who also had thought he wasn’t interested. He was very interested, but also very afraid to hurt his family.

What reality is lying under the outer appearances in your life?

As you can see from my two examples, creating the reality you want is pretty much like walking through life with a virtual reality headset on. You are seeing something that has not materialized yet, but it is a possible reality none the less. Acting from a place as if the reality you want already exists, actually manifests it.

Reality is a little bit the story of the chicken and the egg, which came first? Is reality already there and do we need to see through outer appearance, to see the real truth? Or is reality a mere question of what we believe to be real, will manifest as a reality in our lives? I think at a soul level reality is what we believe it to be, as our whole experience on earth is an illusion. At the same time on an ego level, I think if we look through outer appearances we get a glimpse of soul truth.

The reality of life is that things are often just a matter of perception, nothing is as cast in stone as we like it to be. Even what we perceive as solid matter is in fact not real, quantum physics tells us that solid matter doesn’t exist.

The upside of believing this:

That reality is what we want it to be….

Is that it gives you the freedom to step out of current unwanted realities and allow yourself to create the reality you actually want to be living.

The key is to see your current reality, not as the fixed reality you probably think it is at the moment and instead just look at it as outer appearance.

But don’t resist or force the current moment

Looking though outer appearances is not the same as resisting the current moment. You can look through the outer appearances without rejecting your current perceived reality.

What you resist, persists.

If you resist, what you are currently experiencing in your reality you lock it in again. When my Twin Flame didn’t talk to me for three months, I accepted it. I talked to him, he read what I had to say but he didn’t reply. When in February my branding company stopped generating money, I quickly saw it was useless to try to fix things because the underlying cause could not be fixed, inside that company. The only thing I could do was take a leap of faith and set up the company, Spirit was urging me to create. I didn’t fight the realities I was experiencing, I was letting them pass through because I saw them as outer appearances – things of passing nature.

Same goes for forcing realities. If my twin had not recently showed me that he was interested in me romantically, I would have not gotten on that plane. Or I might have gotten on that plane but with the understanding that he was not interested in me in that way and we would only be friends. I was invited to the wedding of our mutual best friend at that time and I really wanted to attend the wedding too.

Trying to force people or situations always backfires on you, one way or the other.

Consciously creating reality is like riding the waves

Creating the reality you want is not something you do alone, it is a co-creation with the Universe. It’s like riding the waves, when you surf. You need to wait for the good waves.

You set the intention for the reality you want to create and after that its a question of waiting and putting yourself in position to jump on your board as soon as a good wave presents itself.

Consciously creating reality is like this, moving through outer appearances as it shows up, preparing for what you want and ready to jump on your board and ride the wave, when the time is right.

For me the wave came when I was asked to start doing readings, which is how I discovered my unique gift to the world and how all the journeys into your subconscious and the Akashic records started. The Universe said ‘heads up‘ and I jumped on the wave.

Recently I was asked to create the Sexual Healing Journeys and again I felt a lot of resistance, but I did it anyway. I was dreading the heaviness of the journeys and the very first Sexual Healing Journey booked, was in fact heart touching beautiful even though the theme of the journey was around healing childhood abuse.

The same week I launched this product, is the week I actually made €8K in one week! Most of that money came in through my branding agency Gangsta Goddess Designs, that now that I am sharing my unique gift with the world is apparently back in business.

You have got to love the Universe’s perfection and strange sense of humor.

What reality do you want to create?

Although it may seem that this all just happened to me out of nowhere, that is not exactly true. I did set the intention to manifest my life purpose and to discover my unique gift to the world. That is the reality I created in co-creation with the divine. I now own a successful (six figure in the making) soul aligned business in which I share my unique gift to the world.

That was not my reality before I left for India. It was also not my reality when I came back home and the road from then to here was bumpy to say the least. It was not at all a smooth ride, but that’s okay because in the end it brought me where I wanted to be, right here where I am now.

Where do you want to be? Set the intention, put yourself in position and then catch that wave that will bring you were you want. In the meantime, don’t get distracted by outer appearances, just let them move through and stay focused on the reality you want to manifest.
